Introduction
At AppEDGE, we are always looking for ways to use our web development skills to make a positive impact on the world. One project that we are particularly proud of is a web app we built on Bubble.io to engage users on the important topic of climate change.
Challenge
The main objective of the app was twofold. First, we wanted to ask users a crucial question about how to approach the issue of climate change: should we plan based on the best or worst case scenario? This is a fundamental question for scientists and policymakers as they work to address the challenges of climate change. Second, we wanted to provide users with educational resources on the topic of climate change, including videos, PDFs, and FAQs, to help them better understand the issues and potential interventions.
Methodology
To achieve these goals, we developed a web app on Bubble.io that posed the key question about climate change planning and provided a range of educational materials for users to access. The app was designed to be user-friendly and accessible, with a clear layout and easy navigation.
Results
The app was well-received by users and served as an effective platform for engaging people on the important topic of climate change. The central question about planning for the best or worst case scenario could generate a lot of discussion and help to raise awareness about the need to consider different approaches to addressing the issue. The educational resources provided on the app were also popular and helped to increase users' understanding of the key issues surrounding climate change.
Conclusion
Overall, the climate change web app was a successful project for AppEDGE. It provided a valuable platform for engaging users on a crucial issue and helped to increase understanding and awareness about climate change and the potential interventions that can be taken.
